Being a traditional knife guy, I have never really looked at the more modern options. Lately I have. It has been an Eye opener for me.
I am suitably impressed. This one especially. It is now my Work EDC. And it has already proved itself.

What is the last thing you learned?
No matter how old you are you still learn something everyday. I am ….well really old and yesterday learnt that my body cannot do what it used too….the horror

I’m normally a Traditional knife guy. I like the Sod buster, Barlow, Canoe etc etc. Types of knives. But coming out of my comfort zone and looking at within my budget “modern style knives”.
Surprisingly very impressed. I like a simple knife .. see Sod Buster.. single blade locking knife. Now these new style modern takes, I have to say have impressed me no end. Here is a perfect example of simple , elegant and smooth. Very nice

Found this while looking for more modern series of folders from Rough Ryder…..WOW. it cost less than most folding knives out there. Look good, well made and hey the price …perfect.
Not all bargains are cheap

Not a sharp and shinny I would normally look at. Never really been into “tactical knives.” But hey, sometimes you gotta get uncomfortable. So here I am, all uncomfortable…..it was not as bad as I expected

Decided to try out making a full size wooden spoon. Found some Basswood cut it up and gave it a go. Turned out to be a really fun project. Learnt alot and now more to come. There are so many different types of spoons to do….
Be safe when using those sharp and shinny
